On their seventh album “Introducing Svin”, the Danish avant-garde rock trio is once again expanding its musical reach through electronic and vocal collaborations with the renowned singers Bisse and Marie Eline Hansen. The result is a dynamic, techno-mechanical-sounding record based on the ever-accelerating integration of the digital and analog domains of man and machine into human existence and experience. “Introducing SVIN” expands the trio’s bricolage aesthetic by adding a higher level of electronics to studio production. This delivers a robotic, futuristic feeling of man and machine interwoven in a simultaneously manual and techo-mechanical musical multiverse. The cyborg-like jazz-rock vibes circulate in a musical reality where the natural and digital domains are constantly changing. New paths were trodden and there were collabos with the renowned singer Bisse and his twisted vocals on ‘Bøn’ and ditto Marie Eline Hansens (Traening u.a.) calmly anxious speech on album Closer ‘Dødsensangst’ As always, Svin hits the sweet spot between improvisation and structure and holds enough elasticity to let the music breathe, break and create headspace for the listener in the stranger.
