Precise rhythms and yet great musical freedom characterizes Augsburg, Germany quartet Brennenstuhl. Thus unexpected but always catchy structures can be found;\u00a0 bass and drums as a driving Krautrock machine, paired with psychedelic guitar playing from jazz and blues form the flying carpet for saxophonist and singer Eva, whose voice is reminiscent of a mixture of Erykah Badu and Tess Parks. The band describes their sound as acid krautrock jazz that is loud and weird, but also thoughtful, quiet and straightforward, yet always touching and danceable! Since the release of their self-titled debut album (HeadApe-Records) in 2017, the band has played at live festivals to much applaud. New album No is the consistent further development of the diverse sound of the four band members. The roots are clearly in jazz rock, but elements from the singer\/ songwriter domain take a significant part of the music on No.\u00a0 No is multi-layered, from extremely catchy melodies and vocal passages, to complex instrumental parts.<\/p>\n
