Rob Lamothe\u2019s 1996 debut solo album \u2018Gravity\u2019 is being reissued as a Deluxe Edition
\n2CD (including alternate takes, live, demo and unreleased tracks).<\/p>\n
Rob Lamothe initially gained prominence as the lead vocalist for Los Angeles rock band Riverdogs, who
\nreleased their critically acclaimed debut album in 1990 on Epic Records. Riverdogs still make records
\noccasionally, when guitarist Vivian Campbell can get a break from his other bands (Def Leppard, Last In Line).
\nLamothe went solo with his debut album \u2018Gravity\u2019 in 1996. The album introduced a more introspective side to
\nLamothe\u2019s songwriting, exploring a depth of emotions, from sorrow, to love, to pain, to hope; a poignant
\nreflection of the human experience. Showcasing his talents as a truly versatile singer-songwriter and storyteller,
\nLamothe infuses \u2018Gravity\u2019 with blues, folk, and Americana to create a sonic journey of ethereal highs to raw,
\nsoul-stirring lows.
\n\u2018Gravity\u2019 was written and recorded in the summer of 1994, after returning to Los Angeles from a 30-date
\nEuropean tour with Riverdogs. Writing and recording \u2018Gravity\u2019 was medicine, as Rob left longtime musical
\ncollaborators in Southern California and moved to Canada, to be near his sons. Arriving in Hamilton, Ontario, he
\ncamped out in hotels and basements, carrying his acoustic guitar into any open mic or jam session he could find.
\nBefore long, he was meeting and making music with local but world-class musicians, many of whom played and
\nsung on \u2018Gravity\u2019.<\/p>\n
