DEADLETTER were one of the most talked about band’s of 2023, with their critically acclaimed debut EP ‘Heat!’ gaining nods from tastemakers including NME, CLASH, DIY, DORK and The Guardian, 2024 brings in the band’s debut album, starting with single ‘Mere Mortal’. In typical DEADLETTER fashion, the band will be out across the UK, EUROPE and US touring the album, building on the alrady growing expectation and momentum achieved from 2023.
\nHaving played together in groups prior, DEADLETTER was formed at the start of 2020, days before the pandemic struck. After some lineup experimentation, the addition of Will King (Guitar), Sam Jones (Guitar) and Poppy Richler (Saxophone) completed the group.
\nBound together by a recognition of frenetic energy and rhythm and leaving any wider ideological goal open to interpretation by the listener.
\nWith a sold-out show UK tour (including London\u2019s iconic Scala) under their belts, support slots including dates with Placebo, Tropical F**k Storm and Yard Act, recent packed shows on the BBC Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds festival, Glastonbury\u2019s Left Field, a full EU arena support run with Placebo, and forthcoming shows at Electric Brixton, Rock Wertcher and Down the Rabbit Hole, it\u2019s clear the September release of their debut album heralds the next level for DEADLETTER.<\/p>\n
