{"id":57577,"date":"2026-01-21T15:23:16","date_gmt":"2026-01-21T14:23:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vinylgrove.nl\/?post_type=product&#038;p=57577"},"modified":"2026-02-17T16:16:14","modified_gmt":"2026-02-17T15:16:14","slug":"cancer-5","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/vinylgrove.nl\/index.php\/product\/cancer-5\/","title":{"rendered":"Cancer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Re: 21-11-2025 (C 1991)<\/p>\n<p>Death metal gods Cancer burst onto the UK extreme metal scene thirty-five years ago, &amp; established a strong global following over the course of their seven studio albums, including a stint with major label EastWest under Warner Music. 2018&#8217;s &#8216;Shadow Gripped&#8217; album reunited the core band for the first time since 1995 for a new masterclass of twisted savagery, &amp; 2025&#8217;s &#8216;Inverted World&#8217; showed the recently reinvigorated band had lost none of its passion for relentless old school brutality.<\/p>\n<p>Released back in 1991 at the height of the global death metal explosion, &#8216;Death Shall Rise&#8217; is rightly regarded as one of the classic pillars of the genre. A clear evolution over debut &#8216;To The Gory End&#8217;, &#8216;Death Shall Rise&#8217; contained a noticeable development in its composition &amp; sound, whilst retaining the raw essence &amp; attack of what made the debut itself such a ferocious classic.<\/p>\n<p>Joining the core trio of John Walker on guitar\/vocals, Ian Buchanan on bass &amp; Carl Stokes on drums was revered guitar virtuoso James Murphy (Death, Obituary, Disincarnate), with Deicide&#8217;s Glen Benton also contributing a guest backing vocal. &#8216;Death Shall Rise&#8217; was recorded at the legendary US studio, Morrisound (Sepultura, Morbid Angel, Deicide) with equally renowned &amp; prolific producer Scott Burns at the helm.<\/p>\n<p>This edition of &#8216;Death Shall Rise&#8217; is presented on black vinyl. &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tracklist:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">1.
