Chris Kläfford is back with his new album ‘What I’m Running From’, opening a new chapter in his musical career. Since winning Idol (Sweden, 2017), he has established himself as an excellent singer-songwriter and built up a loyal fan-base worldwide. Now he is taking his destiny into his own hands and venturing into complete creative independence. In 2024, he found the label HoxFord Records together with his manager to shape his music uncompromisingly according to his own ideas. His new album is a collection of personal stories – about love and loss, doubt and hope, big feelings and quiet moments – inspired by an intensive songwriting trip to Nashville. A special melancholy permeates the songs, which are deeply rooted in Chris’ experiences and thoughts. The first single ‘Small Town Ghost’ describes the feeling when a love ends but you still live in the same small town – caught between memories and the longing for a new beginning.
